ന്യൂഹാസ് 1989-ൽ അഡ്‌ലെയ്ഡ് സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് എംബി, ബിഎസ് ബിരുദം നേടി. 2000-ൽ അഡ്‌ലെയ്ഡ് യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിയിൽ, കാൻസർ പടരുന്നതിനുള്ള സംവിധാനങ്ങളിൽ അവർ പിഎച്ച്‌ഡി പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.[3]
