ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഒരു പ്രഫഷണൽ ഹോക്കി താരമാണ് വി. ആർ. രഘുനാഥ്. ഫുൾ ബാക്കായാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം കളിക്കുന്നത്. ഹോക്കിയിൽ ഗോൾ നേടുന്നതിനുള്ള തന്ത്രമായ ഡ്രാഗ് ഫഌക്കിങ്ങിൽ ശ്രദ്ധേയനാണ് രഘുനാഥ്.[1]
ജീവിത രേഖ[തിരുത്തുക]
മുൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹോക്കി താരം വി. എസ്. രാമചന്ദ്രന്റെ മകനായി കർണ്ണാടകയിലെ കുടക് ജില്ലയിലെ ഹാത്തൂരിൽ 1988 നവംബർ ഒന്നിന് ജനനം.[2]
അരങ്ങേറ്റം[തിരുത്തുക]
2003ൽ ബംഗ്ലാദേശിലെ ധാക്കയിൽ നടന്ന സബ് ജൂനിയർ ഏഷ്യ കപ്പിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത് കൊണ്ടാണ് അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചത്. മുൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹോക്കി ടീം ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ സന്ദീപ് സിങ്ങിന് പരിക്കേറ്റതിനെ തുടർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് പകരക്കാരനായി 2005ൽ പാകിസ്താനെതിരായ ഉഭയകക്ഷി മൽസരത്തിലൂടെയാണ് സീനിയർ ഹോക്കിയിൽ തുടക്കമിട്ടത്.[3][4] സുൽത്താൻ അസ്ലം ഷാ കപ്പ് ടൂർണമെന്റിൽ 2007ൽ വെങ്കലവും 2008ൽ വെള്ളിയും നേടിയ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹോക്കി ടീമിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്നു. 2007ലെ ഏഷ്യൻ കപ്പിൽ സ്വർണ്ണ മെഡൽ നേടിയ ഇന്ത്യൻ ടീമിലും അംഗമായിരുന്നു. 2013ലെ ഏഷ്യൻ കപ്പിൽ ആറു ഗോളുകൾ നേടിയ രഘുറാമിന് ആയിരുന്നു ബെസ്റ്റ് പ്ലെയർ ഓഫ് ദ ടൂർണമെന്റ് പുരസ്‌കാരം.[5]
ഹോക്കി ഇന്ത്യ ലീഗ്[തിരുത്തുക]
ഹോക്കി ഇന്ത്യ ലീഗിലേക്കുള്ള താര ലേലത്തിൽ രഘുനാഥിനെ ഉത്തർപ്രദേശ് വിസാഡ്‌സ് 13,900 അമേരിക്കൻ ഡോളറിന് ലേലമെടുത്തത്. ടീമിന്റെ ക്യാപ്റ്റനായിരുന്ന രഘുനാഥിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഉത്തർപ്രദേശ് വിസാഡ്‌സ് ഉദ്ഘാടന മൽസരത്തിൽ മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനം നേടി.[6] ലീഗിന്റെ ആദ്യ സെഷനിൽ 14കളികളിലായി 9 ഗോളും രണ്ടാം സെഷനിൽ 12 കളികളിലായി 8 ഗോളും രഘുനാഥ് നേടി
