ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ വിശാഖപട്ടണത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഏകദേശം 90 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയും സമുദ്രനിരപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് 2313 അടി ഉയരത്തിലും സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ചുണ്ണാമ്പു പാറകളാൽ നിർമ്മിതമായ ഗുഹകളാണ് ബോറ ഗുഹലു എന്നുമറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ബോറ ഗുഹകൾ. 1807 ൽ ജോഗ്രഫിക്കൽ സർവേ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന വില്യം കിംഗ്‌ ജോർജ് ആണ് വളരെ അവിചാരിതമായി ഈ ഗുഹകൾ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. അനന്തഗിരി കുന്നുകളുടെ ഭാഗമായ ഈ ഗുഹകൾ പാറകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ രൂപപ്പെടുന്ന ധാതുക്കളായ സ്പിലിയോംതെസിന് ഉത്തമ ഉദാഹരണങ്ങളാണ്.[1][2]
സ്റ്റാലക്‌റ്റൈറ്റ്, സ്റ്റാലഗ്മൈറ്റ് എന്നിവങ്ങനെ രണ്ടു തരത്തിലുള്ള പാറകളാണ് ഇവിടെ കാണാൻ സാധിക്കുക.[3][4] ഇന്ത്യയിലെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും ആഴത്തിലുള്ള ഗുഹകളാണിവ.[5][6]
