പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തിൽ മാത്രം കണ്ടുവരുന്ന ഒരിനം പല്ലിയാണ് ബെഡോമിന്റെ മരപ്പല്ലി (Beddome's day gecko). ശാസ്ത്രനാമം: Cnemaspis beddomei). 1830-1911 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് സൈനിക ഉദ്ദ്യോഗസ്ഥനായ റിച്ചാർഡ് ഹെൻറി ബെഡോമി എന്ന സസ്യശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞന്റെ പേരിലാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്.

കാണപ്പെടുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങൾ: തിനവേലിയും ട്രാവൻകൂർ കുന്നുകളും (3000 – 5000 ft ASL) Terra typica restricta (M. A. Smith 1935): Travancore
ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥയും സംരക്ഷണവും[തിരുത്തുക]
ഇവ പകൽസമയങ്ങളിൽ പാറക്കല്ലുകളിക്കിടയിലാണ് കണ്ടുവരുന്നത്. പ്രധാനമായും പ്രാണികളെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. The exact threats are unknown but may be human disturbance. However, it exists in protected areas Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve and Meghamalai.
