Usage

To signal that freshly updated material from a particular article is featured on the ITN column on the Main Page, for example, on 19 ഏപ്രിൽ 2024, copy and paste the following onto the article's talkpage:

{{ITN talk|date=19 ഏപ്രിൽ 2024}}

This will display the following:

This will show the date the article appeared on the ITN column and add it to Category:Wikipedia In the news articles, a listing of all the articles that appeared in the column.

• To include a link to the daily Portal:Current events page for that date, add the parameter 'alt', as in {{ITN talk|date=19 ഏപ്രിൽ 2024|alt=yes}}. Note that in some cases the portal may have mentioned the news item on a different date, or may not have mentioned it at all.
• To include a link to a relevant oldid of the Template:In the news template itself, add the parameter 'oldid', for example {{ITN talk|date=19 ഏപ്രിൽ 2024|oldid1=497003009}}.

Multiple dates

The template will accept up to five different dates, using |daten=, |oldidn= or |altn=, where n is a whole number between 1 and 5. Alternatively use |alt=yes without a number to link all dates to Portal:Current events. For example,
