ഇമാദുദ്ദീൻ സൻകി
മൊസൂൾ, അലപ്പോ, ഹമാ, ഏദസ്സ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ ഭരണം നടത്തിയ തുർക്കി വംശജനായിരുന്നു ഇമാദുദ്ദീൻ സൻകി[1] (അറബി: عماد الدین زنكي; 1085-14 September 1146). സൻകി ഭരണവംശം ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്.
ജീവിതരേഖ
മാലിക് ഷാ ഒന്നാമന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്ത് അലപ്പോയുടെ ഗവർണ്ണറായിരുന്ന അക്സുങ്കൂർ അൽ ഹാജിബിന്റെ പുത്രനായി ജനിച്ച ഇമാദുദ്ദീൻ ഇറാഖിലെ മൊസൂളിൽ ആയിരുന്നു വളർന്നുവന്നത്. അവിടെ ഗവർണ്ണറായിരുന്ന കെർബോഗയുടെ മരണത്തോടെ 1127-ൽ ഇമാദുദ്ദീൻ മൊസൂളിലെ അധികാരിയായി മാറി.
ദമാസ്കസ് ഭരിച്ചിരുന്ന തഗത്കിൻ 1128-ൽ മരണപ്പെട്ടതോടെ സിറിയയിൽ കുരിശുയുദ്ധസൈനികരുടെ കയ്യേറ്റം കൂടിവന്നിരുന്നു[2]. ഇതിനിടെ 1128-ൽ തന്നെയാണ് അലപ്പോയിൽ കൂടി ഇമാദുദ്ദീൻ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തമേൽക്കുന്നത്. മൊസൂളിലും അലപ്പോയിലും ഗവർണ്ണറായിരിക്കെ ബാഗ്ദാദിലെ സെൽജൂക് രാജാവായിരുന്ന മഹ്‌മൂദ് രണ്ടാമന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തനായി ഇമാദുദ്ദീൻ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുവന്നു.
മേഖലയിലെ കുരിശുയുദ്ധ മേധാവിത്തം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാനായി നിരവധി നീക്കങ്ങൾ ഇമാദുദ്ദീൻ നടത്തുകയുണ്ടായി.
1146 സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ സ്വന്തം ഭൃത്യന്റെ കയ്യാൽ ഇമാദുദ്ദീൻ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു[3]. തുടർന്ന് മക്കളായ സൈഫുദ്ദീൻ, നൂറുദ്ദീൻ എന്നിവർ യഥാക്രമം മൊസൂൾ, അലപ്പോ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ അധികാരമേറ്റു.
