ഗർഭാശയത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന അർബുദമാണ് ഗർഭാശയാർബുദം.[3],[2]. ഗർഭാശയ ഭിത്തിയേയോ കലകളേയോ രോഗം ബാധിക്കുന്നു. അസ്വാഭാവികമായ രക്തസ്രാവവും കഠിനമായ വേദനയും ഇതിന്റെ ലക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ്. ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് പേരുടെ മരണത്തിന് കാരണമാകുന്ന ഒരു രോഗാവസ്ഥയാണിത്[7]
രോഗകാരണം
[തിരുത്തുക]പൊണ്ണത്തടി, ടൈപ്പ് 2 ഡയബറ്റിസ്, കുടുംബചരിത്രം[1] എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിവിധ ഘടകങ്ങൾ പരിഗണിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിലും ഈസ്ട്രജൻ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ഹോർമോണുകളുടെ പ്രവർത്തനവും കാരണമായി സംശയിക്കുന്നു[8].
വർഗ്ഗീകരണം
[തിരുത്തുക]ഗർഭാശയാർബ്ബുദം എന്നതു ഗർഭാശയത്തിൽ കാണുന്ന പലവിധത്തിലുള്ള അർബ്ബുദത്തെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിൽ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ടത് താഴെ പറയുന്നവയാണ്
- ലെയോമയോസാർകോമകൾ ഗർഭപാത്രത്തിന്റെ പേശീകോശങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുത്ഭവിക്കുന്നു. ഇവർ യൂട്ടറൈൻ ഫൈബ്രോയ്ഡുകളേക്കാൾ വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്.[10]
ചികിത്സ
