ക്ഷണിക ഇസ്കീമിക ആഘാതം (താൽകാലിക രക്തപ്രവാഹതടസ്സം) അഥവാ ടി. ഐ.എ. അഥവാ മന്ദമസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതം (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: transient ischemic attack; എന്നത്, തലച്ചോറിലേക്കോ, സുഷുമ്നാനാഡിയിലേക്കോ കണ്ണിലെ റെറ്റിനയിലേക്കോ ഉണ്ടാകാവുന്നതും പെട്ടെന്നു ശരിയാകാവുന്നതുമായ ഒരു ക്രമവ്യതിയാനമാണ്. രക്തം പെട്ടെന്ന് കട്ടപിടിച്ച് മേൽപറഞ്ഞ ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങളിലെവിടെയെങ്കിലും ധമനികളിലൂടെയുള്ള രക്തപ്രവാഹം നിലക്കുകയും ആ ഭാഗത്തെ കോശങ്ങൾ നശീക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു സംഭവമാണ് ഈ അസുഖം. മസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതത്തിന്റെ ഏതാണ്ട് അതേ കാരണങ്ങൾ തന്നെയാണ് ടി.ഐ.എ. ക്കും. തലച്ചോറിലേക്കുള്ള രക്തപ്രവാഹത്തിനു വരുന്ന തടസ്സങ്ങളാണിവ. പലപ്പോഴും മന്ദമസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതം, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പൂർവ്വമസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതം എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. മന്ദമസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതം മൂലമുള്ള രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങൽ മിക്കപ്പോഴും 24 മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളിൽ അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാകാറുണ്ട്. .[1][2] ടി.ഐ.എ. അഥവാ മന്ദമസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതത്തിനും മസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതത്തിന്റേതു പോലുള്ള രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ തന്നെയാണു കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്. വിപാർശ്വഭാഗത്തെ പക്ഷാഘാതം, (പ്രശ്നം ബാധിച്ച തലച്ചോറിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തിനു നേർ പാർശ്വത്തിലുള്ള ഭാഗത്തെ പക്ഷാഘാതം]] അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മരവിപ്പ്, കാഴ്ചമങ്ങൾ, നാക്കു കുഴയൽ, അങ്കലാപ്പിലാവൽ എന്നിവയാണ് പ്രധാനം. പക്ഷെ മസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതത്തിൽ നിന്നുവ്യത്യസ്തമായി രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ 24 മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളിൽ അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാകാറുണ്ട്. മിനിറ്റുകൾ നേരത്തേക്ക് മസ്തിഷ്കമരണം സംഭവിക്കാനുള്ള സാധ്യതയുമുണ്ട്; മന്ദമസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതം വരുന്നത് 90 ദിവസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ മസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതം തന്നെ (Stroke സ്ട്രോക്ക്) വരുന്നതിന്റെ മുന്നോടിയാണെന്നു പറയാറുണ്ട്. .[3][4] നിശ്ശബ്ദമസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകതെ എന്തെന്നാൽ അതിനു രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ഉടനെ പ്രത്യക്ഷമാകുകയില്ല എന്നതാണ്. മാത്രവുമല്ല നിശ്ശബ്ദമസ്തിഷ്കാഘാതം മറ്റൊരു മുന്നറിയിപ്പുമില്ലാതെ മന്ദ മഷ്തികാഘാതം ഉണ്ടാവാത്തവർക്കും വരാവുന്നതാണ്.[5]
