കിരിൻഡി മിറ്റിയ ദേശീയോദ്യാനം, തെക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ മഡഗാസ്കറിയിലെ മൊസാംബിക് ചാനലിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ദേശീയോദ്യാനമാണ്. 72,200 ഹെക്ടർ (178,000 ഏക്കർ) വിസ്തൃതിയുള്ള ഈ ദേശീയോദ്യാനം, ഒട്ടനവധി തദ്ദേശീയ സസ്യ ജന്തുജാലങ്ങളുടേയും അതോടൊപ്പം പ്രൈമേറ്റകളുടെ ലോകത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ സാന്ദ്രതയുള്ള പ്രദേശവുമായി കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രം[തിരുത്തുക]
മൊസാംബിക് ചാനൻറെ തെക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ തീരത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ദേശീയോദ്യാനം, ഏഴ് ചെറിയ ദ്വീപുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഒരു മറൈൻ മേഖലയും ഉൾക്കൊളളുന്നു.[1]
ബെലോ സർ മെർ ടൌണിനും, മൊറോണ്ടാവാ ടൌണിനും സമീപത്തായി മെനാബാ മേഖലയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ദേശീയോദ്യാനം, മഹാറിവോ നദി, ലംപോവോലോ നദി എന്നിവയാൽ വലയം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ദേശീയോദ്യാനത്തിൻറെ പ്രവേശനകവാടം മൊറോണ്ടാവോയ്ക്ക് 70 കിലോമീറ്റർ (4 മൈൽ) തെക്കുഭാഗത്തായിട്ടാണ്.[2] മാർച്ച് മുതൽ നവംബർ വരെയുള്ള വരണ്ട കാലാവസ്ഥയിൽ ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ വന്യജീവികൾ നിഷ്‍ക്രിയാവസ്ഥയിലും സസ്യങ്ങൾ തവിട്ട് നിറത്തിലും, മരങ്ങൾ ഇലയില്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥയിലുമായിരിക്കുന്നതാണ്.താപനില 40 °C (104 °F) എത്തുമ്പോൾ വന്യജീവികൾ സജീവമാകുകയും സസ്യജാലങ്ങൾ പുതുജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.[3][4]
ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ പ്രബല തദ്ദേശീയ ജനവിഭാഗം സകലാവ ജനങ്ങളാണ്.[5]
