സാൻഫ്രാൻസിസ്കോയിലെ കാലിഫോർണിയ സർവകലാശാലയിലെ ഒബ്‌സ്റ്റട്രിക്‌സ് ആൻഡ് ഗൈനക്കോളജി (OB/GYN) പ്രൊഫസറും ഫിസിഷ്യനുമാണ് കാർലോസ് സുൽഡോ. ഇൻ വിട്രോ ഫെർട്ടിലൈസേഷൻ ഐവിഎഫ് ഫെർട്ടിലിറ്റി സെന്ററിന്റെ സ്ഥാപകനും (1984) ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഡയറക്ടറുമാണ് ഡോ. സുൽഡോ. ഡോ. സുൽഡോ ഒരേസമയം അർജന്റീനയിലെ ബ്യൂണസ് അയേഴ്സിലെ ഗൈനക്കോളജി ആൻഡ് റീപ്രൊഡക്ഷൻ സെന്റർ (CEGYR) ൽ സയന്റിഫിക് ഡയറക്ടറായി സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു. കൂടാതെ വേൾഡ് എൻഡോമെട്രിയോസിസ് റിസർച്ച് ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ സ്ഥാപക ബോർഡ് അംഗവുമാണ്.

അർജന്റീനയിലെ ബ്യൂണസ് ഐറിസിലാണ് ഡോ. കാർലോസ് സുൽഡോ ജനിച്ച് വളർന്നത്. അവിടെ അദ്ദേഹം ബ്യൂണസ് അയേഴ്‌സ് സർവകലാശാലയിൽ (UBA) മെഡിക്കൽ സ്‌കൂൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കുകയും 1970-ൽ ബിരുദം നേടുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഡോ. സുൽഡോ ഒബ്‌സ്റ്റെട്രിക്‌സ് ആൻഡ് ഗൈനക്കോളജി വിഭാഗത്തിൽ ഇന്റേൺഷിപ്പും റെസിഡൻസിയും പൂർത്തിയാക്കി. 1976-ൽ ചിക്കാഗോ മെഡിക്കൽ സ്‌കൂളിൽ GYN. അതേ ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്‌മെന്റിൽ ജൂനിയർ ഫാക്കൽറ്റി അംഗമായി രണ്ട് വർഷത്തിന് ശേഷം പ്രൊഫസർ സുൽഡോ കാലിഫോർണിയയിലേക്ക് മാറുകയും സാൻ ഫ്രാൻസിസ്കോയിലെ കാലിഫോർണിയ സർവകലാശാലയിലെ OB/GYN ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്‌മെന്റിൽ ക്ലിനിക്കൽ അസിസ്റ്റന്റായി ചേരുകയും ചെയ്തു. അസോസിയേറ്റ്, കൂടാതെ 1994-ൽ പ്രൊഫസറായി. സതേൺ കാലിഫോർണിയ സർവകലാശാലയിൽ (1982-83) പ്രത്യുൽപാദന എൻഡോക്രൈനോളജിയിൽ ഫെലോഷിപ്പും പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.

അമേരിക്കൻ സൊസൈറ്റി ഫോർ റീപ്രൊഡക്റ്റീവ് മെഡിസിൻ (ASRM) ന്റെ ഭാഗമായി, ഡോ. സുൽഡോ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ മെമ്പർഷിപ്പ് കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ ചെയർമാനും ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ അഡ്വൈസറി കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗവുമാണ്. അർജന്റീനിയൻ സൊസൈറ്റി ഓഫ് റീപ്രൊഡക്റ്റീവ് മെഡിസിൻ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള നിരവധി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര പ്രത്യുത്പാദന സമൂഹങ്ങളിൽ അദ്ദേഹം അംഗവും പതിവ് അവതാരകനും ചർച്ചക്കാരനുമാണ്. വന്ധ്യതയുടെ കാരണമായ അപാകതകളുടെ അസ്തിത്വത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വിലപ്പെട്ട വിവരങ്ങൾ പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന നോൺ-ഇൻവേസിവ് ഇമേജ്-ഡയഗ്നോസ്റ്റിക് നടപടിക്രമം ആയ നൂതനമായ വെർച്വൽ ഹിസ്റ്ററോസാൽപിംഗോഗ്രാഫി രീതി വികസിപ്പിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നതിൽ ഒരു പ്രധാന ഗവേഷകൻ കൂടിയായിരുന്നു ഡോ. സുൽഡോ.

പ്രൊഫസർ കാർലോസ് സുൽഡോ ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള നിരവധി ശാസ്ത്ര അവാർഡുകളും നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ പിയർ റിവ്യൂഡ് റീപ്രൊഡക്റ്റീവ് മെഡിസിൻ ജേണലുകളിൽ നിരവധി ലേഖനങ്ങളും എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
