പൂച്ച വർഗത്തിൽ പെട്ട ഐബീരിയൻ ലിൻക്സ് ഒരുകാലത്ത് സ്പെയിൻ, പോർച്ചുഗൽ, തെക്കൻ ഫ്രാൻസ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ സർവ്വസാധാരണമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഇന്ന് ഇവ വംശനാശ ഭീഷണി നേരിടുന്നു. ലിൻക്സ് പാർഡിനസ് എന്നാണ് ഇവയുടെ ശാസ്ത്രനാമം.
