ബാഗ്രിഡെ മത്സ്യകുടുംബത്തിലെ ഒരിനം മത്സ്യമാണ് ഏട്ടക്കൂരി (Nilgiri mystus) (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Hemibagrus punctatus).[3] ഐ.യു.സി.എൻ. വർഗ്ഗീകരണപ്രകാരം ഗുരുതരമായ വംശനാശഭീഷണിയിലുള്ള ഒരു മൽസ്യമാണിത്.[4] ഈ മത്സ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ആദ്യമായി വിവരണം നൽകിയത് 1849 ൽ തോമസ് സി ജെർഡോൺ ആണ് . ഗോത്ര കവിയായ സുകുമാരൻ ചാലിഗത്തയുടെ കവിതയായ ഏട്ടക്കൂരി എന്ന കവിതയിൽ ഏട്ടക്കൂരി എന്ന മത്സ്യത്തെ പറ്റി പറയുന്നുണ്ട്.
