ഒരു അറബ് രാജ്യമായ ഈജിപ്റ്റിന്റെ സിനിമാ വ്യവസായത്തെ ഈജിപ്ഷ്യൻ സിനിമ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.[5] 1976 മുതൽ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ഫെഡറേഷൻ ഓഫ് ഫിലിം പ്രൊഡ്യൂസേഴ്സ് അസോസിയേഷൻസ് ഇവിടെ കെയ്റോ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ നടത്തിവരുന്നു.
ചരിത്രം[തിരുത്തുക]
ആരംഭകാലം[തിരുത്തുക]
1896 മുതൽ ഈജിപ്ത്തിൽ നിശ്ശബ്ദ ചലചിത്രങ്ങൾ നിർമ്മിച്ചിരുന്നു. 1927-ൽ പുറത്ത് വന്ന ലൈലയാണ് ഈജിപ്ത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ മുഴുനീള ചലച്ചിത്രം. 1930 മുതൽ 1936 വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവിൽ കുറഞ്ഞത് 44 മുഴുനീള ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ നിർമ്മിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1936-ൽ, തലാത്ത് ഹാർബ് ആരംഭിച്ച മിസ്ർ സ്റ്റുഡിയോ ഹോളിവുഡിന്റെ പ്രമുഖ സ്റ്റുഡിയോകളുമായി തുല്യ പ്രാധാന്യം നേടി.[6]
സുവർണ്ണകാലം[തിരുത്തുക]
1940 മുതൽ 1960 വരെയുള്ള കാലഘട്ടം ഈജിപ്ഷ്യൻ സിനിമയുടെ സുവർണ്ണ കാലമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.[7]
