കടൽ വാസിയായ ഒരു മൽസ്യമാണ് ഇന്ത്യൻ വീക്കസ്രാവ്(Cephaloscyllium silasi).[2]
ശരീര ഘടന
[തിരുത്തുക]36 സെന്റീ മീറ്റർ മാത്രം നീളം വെക്കുന്ന ചെറിയ സ്രാവാണ് ഇവ. വെള്ളമോ വായുവോ വലിച്ചെടുത്തു ശരീരത്തിന് വണ്ണം കൂട്ടാൻ ഉള്ള കഴിവുണ്ട് , ശത്രുകളെ നേരിടേണ്ടി വരുംപ്പോൾ ആണ് ഇവ ഈ വിദ്യ പ്രയോഗിക്കുക .
ആവാസ വ്യവസ്ഥ
[തിരുത്തുക]250 - 500 മീറ്റർ താഴ്ചയിൽ ആണ് സാധാരണയായി കാണുന്നത് . കൊല്ലത്തും ഒമാനിലും മാത്രം ആണ് ഇവയെ കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളത് .
പ്രജനനം
[തിരുത്തുക]മുട്ടയിടുന്ന സ്രാവുകൾ ആണ് ഇവ. ഒരുസമയം 2 മുട്ടകൾ വീതം ആണ് ഇടുക .
