മൺ മറഞ്ഞു പോയ ഒരു ഭാഗിക ജലജീവി ആണ് അന്ത്രക്കോസുകസ്. ഗ്രീക്ക് ഭാഷയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പേരിന്റെ അർഥം കൽകരി മുതല എന്ന് ആണ് . മുതലകളുടെ അതേ ജീവ ശാഖയിൽപ്പെട്ടവ ആണ് ഇവ. ടൈറ്റാനോബൊവ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന അതെ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ആണ് ഇവയും ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നത്.[1]
