വംശനാശ ഭീഷണി നേരിടുന്ന ജീവികളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് സെയ്ഷെൽസ് ഉറവാലൻ വവ്വാൽ. ഏകദേശം 50-100 എണ്ണം മാത്രമേ അവശേഷിക്കുന്നുള്ളു. കൊള്യൂറ സെയ്ഷെല്ലെൻസിസ് എന്നാണ് ശാസ്ത്രനാമം.
