സാലി ബാറിംഗ്ടൺ
പോസിട്രോൺ എമിഷൻ ടോമോഗ്രാഫി (പിഇടി) ഇമേജിംഗ് പ്രൊഫസറും നാഷണൽ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഫോർ ഹെൽത്ത് റിസർച്ച് (എൻഐഎച്ച്ആർ) ഗവേഷണ പ്രൊഫസറുമാണ് സാലി ബാറിംഗ്ടൺ. .[1] 1993ലാണ് അവർ കെസിഎല്ലിൽ ചേർന്നത്.
ജീവചരിത്രം[തിരുത്തുക]
ബാറിംഗ്ടൺ ലണ്ടനിലെ ഗൈസ് ആൻഡ് സെന്റ് തോമസ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ നിന്ന് ന്യൂക്ലിയർ മെഡിസിൻ പരിശീലനം നേടി. പിന്നീട് 1998-ൽ കൺസൾട്ടന്റായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
അവരുടെ ഗവേഷണം ലിംഫോമ ക്യാൻസറിനെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനത്തിലും PET ഇമേജിംഗ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് റേഡിയോ തെറാപ്പി ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്യുന്നതിലും ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.[2] അവർ നിരവധി മൾട്ടിസെന്റർ ക്ലിനിക്കൽ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഓങ്കോളജി, ന്യൂറോളജി, കാർഡിയോളജി, ഇൻഫെക്ഷൻ/ഇൻഫ്ലമേഷൻ എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെ, എന്നാൽ അതിൽ മാത്രം പരിമിതപ്പെടുത്താതെ മറ്റ് ക്ലിനിക്കൽ മേഖലകളിലും അവർക്ക് പ്രവൃത്തി പരിചയമുണ്ട്. അവർ യുകെ PET റിസർച്ച് നെറ്റ്‌വർക്കിനെ സഹ-നയിക്കുന്നു.
