Workers were brutally tortured; mass struggles were inhumanly suppressed. Moyarath Sankaran, a staunch freedom fighter, and many others were murdered, and brutal incidents of Munayankunnu and Padikkunnu (Kannur) took place. Since The DESHABHIMANI was banned, there was none to highlight those atrocities.
