തമിഴ് നാടൻപാട്ട് ഗായികയും ഗാനരചയിതാവുമാണ് വിജയലക്ഷ്മി നവനീതകൃഷ്ണൻ. 2018ൽ നാടൻപാട്ടുകളുടെ മേഖലയിലെ സംഭാവനകൾ പരിഗണിച്ച് ഭാരത സർക്കാരിന്റെ നാലാമത്തെ സിവിലിയൻ ബഹുമതിയായ പത്മശ്രീ ലഭിച്ചു. ഭർത്താവ് എം. നവനീതകൃഷ്ണനോടൊപ്പം തമിഴ് നാടൻപാട്ടുകളിലും പ്രാദേശിക നൃത്തരൂപങ്ങളിലും പഠനങ്ങൾ നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ജീവിതരേഖ

1946 ജനുവരി 27ന് ജനിച്ചു. മധുരൈ കാമരാജ് സർവ്വകലാശാലയിലെ നാടൻ കലകൾ വിഭാഗത്തിലെ അധ്യാപികയായി വിരമിച്ച വിജയലക്ഷ്മി, തുടർന്ന് നാടൻ കലകളിൽ പഠനങ്ങൾ നടത്തി. ധാരാളം സംഗീത പരിപാടികൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. തമിഴ് നാടൻ കലകളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട സംഗീത ആൽബങ്ങൾ പുറത്തിറക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. നാടൻ കലകളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ഇരുപതോളം പ്രബന്ധങ്ങൾ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
