രജ്നി കോത്താരി

പ്രമുഖ ഇന്ത്യൻ രാഷ്ട്രതന്ത്രജ്ഞനും രാഷ്ട്രസൈദ്ധാന്തികനും എഴുത്തുകാരനും അകഡമിക്കുമായിരുന്നു രജ്നി കോത്താരി (1928- 19 ജനുവരി 2015). സാമുഹിക മാനവിക ശാസ്ത്ര ഗവേഷണ സ്ഥാപനമായ സി.എസ്.ഡി.എസ് (CSDS) 1963 ൽ ദൽഹി ആസ്ഥാനമായി സ്ഥാപിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം തന്നെയാണ് 1980-ൽ ലോകയാൻ എന്ന പേരിലുള്ള ബുദ്ധിജീവികളുടേയും സന്നദ്ധപ്രവർത്തകാരുടേയും ഒരു പൊതുകൂട്ടായ്മ സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. ഐ.സി.എസ്.എസ്.ആർ (ICSSR) ,പി.യു.സി.എൽ എന്നിവയുമായും അദ്ദേഹം അടുത്തുബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.

ഇന്ത്യയിലെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ചിന്തകരിൽ വളരെ പ്രമുഖനായ അദ്ദേഹം നിരവധി കൃതികളുടെ രചയിതാവാണ്. പൊളിറ്റിക്സ് ഇൻ ഇന്ത്യ (1970),കാസ്റ്റ് ഇൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ പൊളിറ്റിക്സ്(1973),റീ തിങ്കിംഗ് ഡമോക്രസി (2005) എന്നിവ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിൽ ചിലതാണ്. 1985-ൽ റൈറ്റ് ലൈവ്‌ലിഹുഡ് അവാർഡിനു ലോകയാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
