ഈജിപ്ഷ്യൻ വംശജയായ നൈജീരിയൻ നടിയും മോഡലുമാണ് മക്കിഡ മോക. ഗിഡി അപ് എന്ന 2014-ലെ ടിവി പരമ്പരയിൽ മോനി ആയി അഭിനയിച്ച അവർ എമെം ഐസോംഗ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത 2015-ലെ കോഡ് ഓഫ് സൈലൻസ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ ബലാത്സംഗത്തിന് ഇരയായ പെൺകുട്ടിയായും അഭിനയിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഒരു മോഡൽ എന്ന നിലയിൽ അവർ ഫ്രാങ്കി ആന്റ് കമ്പനിയുടെ ബ്രാൻഡ് അംബാസഡറാണ്.
ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതവും കരിയറും
[തിരുത്തുക]ഈജിപ്തിലെ കെയ്‌റോയിൽ ഒരു നൈജീരിയൻ അമ്മയ്ക്കും ജമൈക്കയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള നൈജീരിയൻ വംശജനായ പിതാവിനും മോക ജനിച്ചു.[1]ലാഗോസിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രൈമറി, സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നേടിയ അവർ തുടർന്ന് ബെനിൻ സർവകലാശാലയിൽ ചേർന്നു. ഒരു ഓയിൽ കമ്പനിയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന ജിയോളജിസ്റ്റാകണമെന്ന ആഗ്രഹം അവർക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. 2009-ൽ "ഫെയ്സ് ഓഫ് സ്ലീക്ക് നൈജീരിയ" മത്സരത്തിൽ വിജയിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർക്ക് ഉയരമില്ലെങ്കിലും മോഡൽ രംഗത്ത് എത്തിച്ചേർന്നു.[2]അവരുടെ ഫാഷൻ സെൻസിനായി ആഫ്രിക്കൻ മാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ ജനശ്രദ്ധ നേടി.[3]ഒരു മോഡൽ എന്ന നിലയിൽ അവർ ഫ്രാങ്കി ആന്റ് കമ്പനിയുടെ ബ്രാൻഡ് അംബാസഡറാണ്. ചലച്ചിത്ര ജീവിതം
[തിരുത്തുക]2015-ലെ കോഡ് ഓഫ് സൈലൻസ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ കൂട്ടബലാത്സംഗത്തിനിരയായ പെൺകുട്ടിയെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.[5][6]ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഷൂട്ടിംഗിൽ ഒരു "തീവ്രമായ" അനുഭവം അവർക്കുണ്ടായതിനാൽ ഇത് രംഗങ്ങൾ അഭിനയിച്ചതിനുശേഷം പലപ്പോഴും കണ്ണുനീരൊഴുക്കുന്ന അവസ്ഥയിലായിരുന്നു.[2] ആഫ്രിക്കൻ മാജിക്, സിൽ‌വർ‌ബേർഡ് ടെലിവിഷൻ, ആഫ്രിക്ക ഇൻഡിപെൻഡന്റ് ടെലിവിഷൻ എന്നിവയിൽ ആഴ്ചതോറും കാണിക്കുന്ന ടേസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ലവ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ അഭിനയിച്ച മോകയ്ക്ക് 2016-ലെ നൈജീരിയൻ ബ്രോഡ്കാസ്റ്റേഴ്സ് മെറിറ്റ് അവാർഡിൽ "മികച്ച നടി" എന്നതിനുള്ള നോമിനേഷൻ ലഭിച്ചു.[7][8][9]
2017-ൽ ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ കെ എന്ന ക്രൈം-കോമഡി സീരീസിൽ മോക്ക "മെലാനി" എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഈ പരമ്പരയിലെ അവരുടെ കഥാപാത്രം ഒരു നരഹത്യയ്ക്കിടയിൽ ഇന്റർനെറ്റിലെ വ്യാജ വിവരങ്ങളുടെ ഇരയായ ഒരു യുവ സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ പ്രേമിയായിരുന്നു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, ബ്ലോഗറിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അപകീർത്തികരമായ വിവരങ്ങൾ ഡിജിറ്റൽ പ്രേക്ഷകർ അവർക്ക് ആശ്വാസം നൽകുന്നതിലേയ്ക്ക് നയിച്ചു.[10]നെഗറ്റീവ് നിരൂപണങ്ങളുമായി ഇടകലർന്ന വെബ് സീരീസ്, അഭിനയം, നിർമ്മാണം, സംഭാഷണം, ഗൂഢാലോചന എന്നിവയെയും വിമർശിച്ചു.[11] ഛായാഗ്രഹണവും ശബ്‌ദട്രാക്കും ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണെന്ന് അംഗീകരിച്ച ട്രൂ നോളിവുഡ് സ്റ്റോറികളിൽ നിന്ന് ഇതിന് 50% റേറ്റിംഗ് ലഭിച്ചു.[12]അമാനുഷിക റൊമാന്റിക് കോമഡി ബനാന ഐലന്റ് ഗോസ്റ്റിലും ഇന്ത്യൻ നിൻജ എന്ന കഥാപാത്രമായി അവർ അഭിനയിച്ചു. അവരുടെ കഥാപാത്രം പിന്നീട് അവരുടെ നിറത്തിലും വംശപരമ്പരയിലും ഒരു വ്യക്തിത്വം നഷ്‌ടപ്പെടലുണ്ടെന്ന് കാണിച്ചിരുന്നു.
