ഓസ്ട്രേലിയൻ രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാരനായിരുന്നു ബില്ലി ഹ്യൂഗ്സ് എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന വില്യം മോറിസ് ഹ്യൂഗ്സ് CH, KC (25 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 1862 - 28 ഒക്ടോബർ 1952).1915 മുതൽ 1923 വരെ അദ്ദേഹം.ആസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെ ഏഴാമത്തെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായിരുന്നു. ഒന്നാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധത്തിൽ രാജ്യം നയിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അറിയാമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ദേശീയ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിലെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സ്വാധീനം ഏതാനും ദശാബ്ദങ്ങളായി വ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു.1901- ൽ ഫെഡറൽ പ്രതിനിധിയായി ഫെഡറൽ പാർലമെന്റിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്ന ഹ്യൂഗ്സ് തന്റെ മരണംവരെ, 50 വർഷത്തിലേറെ സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിരുന്ന ഏക വ്യക്തിയായിരുന്നു. [1]ആറ് രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികളെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കരിയറിൽ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു. അതിൽ അഞ്ചെണ്ണം ലീഡ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നതിൽ നാലെണ്ണം അവസാനം വരെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും മൂന്നുപേരെ പുറത്താക്കപ്പെട്ടു.[2]
