തെക്കൻ പെറുവിൽ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന രേഖാചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് നാസ്ക വരകൾ. ഏകദേശം 80 കിലോമീറ്ററോളം പരന്നു കിടക്കുന്ന ഈ വരകൾ അവയുടെ രചനാ ചാതുരിയിലും നിർമ്മാണോദേശ്യത്തിലും ഒരു മരീചികയായി അവശേഷിക്കുന്നു. 1940-കളിൽ തുടങ്ങിയ പര്യവേക്ഷണങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇനിയും നാസ്ക വരകളെക്കുറിച്ച് കൃത്യമായ വിവരങ്ങൾ നൽകാനായിട്ടില്ല. 1994-ൽ യുനെസ്കോ നാസ്ക വരകളെ ലോക ഹെറിറ്റേജ് ലിസ്റ്റിൽപ്പെടുത്തി. എ.ഡി. 400-നും 650 ഇടയിലാണ് ഇവ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടതെന്നു കരുതുന്നു[3] .
