തലസ്സോഫോബിയ
കടൽ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ കടൽയാത്രയോടുള്ള ഭയമാണ് തലസ്സോഫോബിയ (Thalassophobia) (ഗ്രീക്ക്: θάλασσα, thalassa, "sea" and φόβος, phobos, "fear") [1].
വിശാലമായ ജലാശയത്തിൽ അകപ്പെടുക, കടലിന്റെ വിശാലമായ ശൂന്യത, കടൽത്തിരകൾ, കരയിൽ നിന്നും വളരെ അകലെയാണെന്ന തോന്നൽ ഇവയെല്ലാം തലസ്സോഫോബിയക്ക് കാരണമാകാം[2].
