ജൂലിയൻ പാട്രിക് ബാർനസ് 1946 ജനുവരി 19 നു ജനിച്ച് ഒരു ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് എഴുത്തുകാരനാണ്. 2011 ൽ “ദ സെൻസ് ഓഫ് ആൻ എൻഡിംഗ്” എന്ന കൃതിയ്ക്ക് മാൻ ബുക്കർ പ്രൈസ് ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ആദ്യകാല ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളായി “Flaubert's Parrot” (1984), “England, England” (1998), “Arthur & George” (2005) എന്നിവ ബുക്കർ പ്രൈസ് പരിഗണനയ്ക്കുള്ള ആദ്യലിസ്റ്റിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം ക്രൈം ഫിക്ഷൻ നോവലുകൾ ഡാൻ കവാനാഗ് എന്ന തൂലികാനാമത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. നോവലുകൾകൂടാതേ പ്രബന്ധങ്ങളുടേയും ചെറുകഥകളുടേയും സമാഹാരങ്ങളും പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
