IFFHS(International Federation of Football History & Statistics)ബഫണിനെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ഗോൾകീപ്പർ ആയി നാലു പ്രാവശ്യവും 21-ാ നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ ഗോൾകീപ്പറായും തിരഞ്ഞെടൂക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.[2][3] ഇപ്പോൾ ഇറ്റലി ദേശീയ ടീമിന്റെ ക്യാപ്റ്റനാണ്.
