മലമ്പ്രദേശത്തുള്ള ഒരു സ്കോട്ടിഷ് വംശവും ചാത്തൻ കോൺഫെഡറേഷനിലെ അംഗവുമാണ് ക്ലാൻ മക്വീൻ .[1]ഈ വംശത്തിന് നിലവിൽ ഒരു തലവൻ ഇല്ല. അതിനാൽ ഒരു സായുധ വംശമായി ഇതിനെ കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.[1]

മാക് ക്വീൻ എന്ന പേര് ചിലപ്പോൾ മാക്‌സ്വീൻ എന്നും നൽകാറുണ്ട്. അതായത് സ്വീൻ ന്റെ മകൻ എന്നാണ്.[1] അയർലണ്ടിലെ ഉന്നത രാജാക്കന്മാരുമായി ബന്ധമുള്ള ക്ലാൻ ഡൊണാൾഡിന്റെ അതേ വംശപരമ്പരയാണ് മാക്വീൻസ് എന്ന് ആരോപിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.[1]ക്ലാൻ മക്‌ഡൊണാൾഡ് ഓഫ് ക്ലാൻ റണാൾഡിന്റെ തലവന്റെ മകൾക്ക് മാക്വീൻസ് കാവൽക്കാരനെ നൽകിയിരുന്നതായി പറയപ്പെടുന്നു. അവൾ മക്കിന്റോഷ് വംശത്തിന്റെ തലവനെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു.[1] മക്കിന്റോഷ് വംശജരും ചാത്തൻ കോൺഫെഡറേഷന്റെ തലവന്മാരായിരുന്നു. അതിനാൽ മക്വീൻസ് ഫൈൻഡ്‌ഹോണിന് ചുറ്റും താമസിക്കുകയും ക്ലാൻ ചാത്തന്റെ കോൺഫെഡറേഷന്റെ ഭാഗമാവുകയും ചെയ്തു.[1]
ക്ലാൻ റെവൻ എന്നാണ് ക്ലാൻ മാക്വീൻ അന്ന് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത് .[1]മേധാവികൾ കോറിബറോയിലെ വലിയ എസ്റ്റേറ്റ് ഉടമ ആയിത്തീർന്നു. മക്‌ഡൊണാൾഡ്‌സിനെ പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്നവർക്കിടയിൽ അവർ വളരെ ബഹുമാനിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.[1]
