അമാൽ ക്ലൂനി (മുൻകാലത്ത്, അമാലുദ്ദീൻ; ജനനം:1978 ഫെബ്രുരി 3) അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര നിയമങ്ങളും മനുഷ്യാവകാശങ്ങളും പ്രത്യേകമായി കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ അഭിഭാഷകയാണ്.[1] അവരുടെ കക്ഷികളിൽ പ്രധാനി ജസ്റ്റിൻ അസാഞ്ചേ (വിക്കിലീക്സ് ൻറെ സ്ഥാപകൻ)[2] ഉക്രൈനിൻറെ മുൻ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി യൂളി തിമോഷെൻകോ,[3] ഈജിപ്ഷ്യൻ-കനേഡിയൻ പത്രപ്രവർത്തകൻ മുഹമ്മദ് ഫഹ്മി എന്നിവരും അമാലിൻറെ കക്ഷികളായിരുന്നു. അവർ വിവാഹം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത് അമേരിക്കൻ നടനായ ജോർജ്ജ് ക്ലൂനിയെ ആണ്.

ലബനോനിലെ ബെയ്‍റൂട്ടിലാണ് അമാൽ അമാലുദ്ദീൻ ജനിച്ചത്. 1980 കളിലെ ലബനീസ് ആഭ്യന്തരയുദ്ധകാലത്ത് അമാലുദ്ദീൻറെ കുടുംബം ലബനോൻവിട്ടു പോകുകയും ബക്കിങ്ഷയറിലെ ജെറാർഡ്‍സ് ക്രോസ്സിൽ താമസമാരംഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. [4] അമാലിന് അക്കാലത്ത് രണ്ടുവയസായിരുന്നു പ്രായം.[5] ലബനീസ് ഡ്രൂസ് കുടുംബത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള അവരുടെ പിതാവ് റാംസി അലാം ഉദ്ദീൻ ചൌഫ് ജില്ലയിലെ ബാക്ൿലൈൻ വില്ലേജിൽനിന്നുള്ളയാളായിരുന്നു.[5][6][7][8][9][10] ബേറൂട്ടിലെ അമേരിക്കൻ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽനിന്ന് എം.ബി.എ. ബിരുദമെടുത്തിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം COMET ട്രാവൽ ഏജൻസിയുടെ ഉടമയായിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം 1991 ൽ ലബനോനിലേയ്ക്കു തിരിച്ചുവന്നു.[11][12] അമാലിൻറെ മാതാവ് ബരിയാ മിക്ൿനാസ്, വടക്കൻ ലബനോനിലുള്ള ട്രിപ്പോളിയിലെ[13][14] ഒരു സുന്നി മുസ്ലിം കുടുംബത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളയാളായിരുന്നു.[13][14] അവർ പാൻ-അരബ് വർത്തമാനപ്പത്രമായ അൽ-ഹയാത്തിൻറെ വിദേശകാര്യ എഡറ്ററും ഒരു പബ്ലിക് റിലേഷൻസ് കമ്പനിയുടെ സ്ഥാപകയുമായിരുന്നു.[5][15] അവർക്ക് ടാല എന്ന ഒരു സഹോദരിയും പിതാവിൻറെ ആദ്യ വിവാഹത്തിലുള്ള സാമെർ, സിയാദ് എന്നിങ്ങനെ രണ്ട് അർദ്ധ സഹോദരങ്ങളുമുണ്ട്.[16][17]
