ഹൈദരാബാദിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നതും പൊതുജനാരോഗ്യം, പോഷണം, ട്രാൻസ്ലേഷണൽ റിസർച്ച് എന്നിവവിൽ ഗവേഷണം നടത്തുന്നതുമായ ഒരു സ്ഥാപനമാണ് നാഷണൽ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ന്യൂട്രീഷൻ ( എൻഐഎൻ ). [1][2] ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കം ചെന്ന ഗവേഷണസ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായ ഇത് ഏറ്റവും വലുതുമായ ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ ഇത് ഉസ്മാനിയ സർവകലാശാലയ്ക്ക് സമീപമാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഇന്ത്യൻ കൗൺസിൽ ഓഫ് മെഡിക്കൽ റിസർച്ചിന് കീഴിലുള്ള ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സ്ഥാപനമാണിത്. നിലൂഫർ ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ ഫോർ വുമൺ ആന്റ് ചിൽഡ്രൻ, ഗവൺമെന്റ് മെറ്റേണിറ്റി ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ, ഗാന്ധി മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ്, ഹൈദരാബാദിലെ ഉസ്മാനിയ ജനറൽ ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ തുടങ്ങി വിവിധ ആശുപത്രികളിൽ ഈ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിന്റെ ക്ലിനിക്കൽ, ശിശുപോഷണഗവേഷണ വാർഡുകളുണ്ട്.

ക്ലിനിക്കൽ ന്യൂട്രീഷൻ , ഔട്ട്കംസ് റിസർച്ച്, ഫാർമക്കോളജി, [3] പാത്തോളജി, ടോക്സിക്കോളജി, ഫുഡ് കെമിസ്ട്രി, [4] എൻ‌ഡോക്രൈനോളജി, [5] മോളിക്യുലർ ബയോളജി, [6] റീജനറേറ്റീവ് മെഡിസിൻ, [7] കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ന്യൂട്രീഷൻ, [8] നേത്രവിജ്ഞാനം, [9] സ്പോർട്ട്സ് ന്യൂട്രീഷൻ എന്നീ മേഖലകളിൽ സ്ഥാപനം ഗവേഷണവും പേറ്റന്റുകൾക്കുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനവും നടത്തുന്നു. [10] ഡബ്ല്യുഎച്ച്ഒ, എഫ്എഒ തുടങ്ങിയ ഏജൻസികൾ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിനെ ഭക്ഷ്യ നിലവാരം, സുരക്ഷ, പോഷകാഹാരഗവേഷണം എന്നിവയിലെ മികവിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രമായി അംഗീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. [11] [12]
