പേർഷ്യൻ ഗൾഫിന്റെ തീരത്തുള്ള ആറ് രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ചേർന്ന് രൂപീകരിച്ച രാജ്യാന്തര സഹകരണ പ്രസ്ഥാനമാണ് ജി.സി.സി. അഥവാ ഗൾഫ് സഹകരണ കൗൺസിൽ. ഈ ആറ് രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ വിസ്തൃതിയിൽ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്തുള്ള സൗദി അറേബ്യയിലെ റിയാദ് നഗരത്തിലാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ആസ്ഥാനം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്.1981 മെയ് 25 നു രൂപീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ജി.സി.സി. ഗൾഫ് രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ സാമ്പത്തീക പുരോഗതിയും സൈനിക - രാഷ്ട്രീയ സഹകരണവുമാണ് മുഖ്യമായി ലക്ഷ്യം വെക്കുന്നത്. ആറ് ഗൾഫ് രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ചേർന്ന് ഒരു പൊതു കറൻസിക്കായുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങൾ നടന്നു വരുന്നു. സൗദി അറേബ്യ, യു.എ.ഇ., ഒമാൻ, കുവൈത്ത്, ഖത്തർ, ബഹറൈൻ എന്നിവയാണ് ഇവയിലെ അംഗരാജ്യങ്ങൾ. അടുത്തു തന്നെ ജോർദാൻ, മൊറോക്കോ യെമൻ എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളെകൂടെ ജി.സി.സി.യിൽ ചേർക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[2] [3] ഈ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം തന്നെ കുടുംബാധിപത്യമാണ് നിലനിൽക്കുന്നത് [4]. ചില രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ പേരിന് തെരെഞ്ഞെടുപ്പുകൾ നടത്താറുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് പൂർണ്ണമായ അഭിപ്രായ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യമോ സ്വയം നിർണ്ണയാവകാശമോ ഇല്ല.[5]

  1. മതം,ധനകാര്യം,വ്യാപാരം,ചരക്ക് കൈമാറ്റം,വിനോദസഞ്ചാരം,നിയമനിർമ്മാൻം,ഭരണം തുടങ്ങയ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ സമാനമായ നിയമങ്ങൾ രൂപീകരിക്കൽ.
  2. വ്യവസായ,മൈനിംഗ്,കാർഷിക,ജല,മൃഗപരിപാല മേഖലകളിൽ ശാസ്ത്രീയവും സാങ്കേതികപരവുമായ പ്രോത്സാഹനം നൽകുക
  3. ശാസ്ത്ര ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കുക
  4. കൂട്ടു സംരംഭ പദ്ധതികൾ ആരംഭിക്കുക
  5. ഏകീകൃത സൈന്യം (Peninsula Shield Force)
  6. സ്വകാര്യ മേഖലയിലെ സഹകരണത്തിന് പ്രോത്സാഹനം നൽകൽ
  7. രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ ജനങ്ങൾ തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം ഊട്ടിയുറപ്പിക്കുക
