2017 – ൽ വൈ നോട്ട് സ്റ്റുഡിയോസിനു കീഴിൽ എസ്. ശശികാന്ത് നിർമിച്ച്, പുഷ്കർ – ഗായത്രി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു തമിഴ് നിയോ - നോയർ ആക്ഷൻ ത്രില്ലർ ചലച്ചിത്രമാണ് വിക്രം വേദാ.[4] ആർ. മാധവൻ, വിജയ് സേതുപതി, ശ്രദ്ധ ശ്രീനാഥ്, കതിർ, വരലക്ഷ്മി ശരത്കുമാർ എന്നിവരാണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. കൂടാതെ പ്രേം, അച്യുത് കുമാർ, ഹരീഷ് പേരടി, വിവേക് പ്രസന്ന എന്നിവർ മറ്റ് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. സാം. സി.എസ് സംഗീതസംവിദാനവും പശ്ചാത്തല സംഗീതവും നിർവ്വഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഛായാഗ്രാഹകൻ പി.എസ്. വിനോദാണ്. ബൈതൽ പചിസി എന്ന നാടോടിക്കഥയെ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയാണ് വിക്രം വേദ ചിത്രീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഗുണ്ടാനേതാവായ വേദയെ പിന്തുടരുന്ന വിക്രം എന്ന പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്റെ ജീവിതമാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഉള്ളടക്കം. സ്വയം പിടിനൽകുന്ന വേദ, വിക്രമിനോട് മൂന്നു കഥകൾ പറയുകയും ഇവ നല്ലതിനെയും ചീത്തയെയും കുറിച്ച് വിക്രമിനുള്ള കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകളെ മാറ്റുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

2015 ജനുവരിയിൽ നിർമ്മാതാവായ ശശികാന്ത്, പുഷ്കർ - ഗായത്രി ദ്വയം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പുതിയ ചിത്രം നിർമ്മിക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഒരു വർഷം നീണ്ടുനിന്ന തിരക്കഥാരചനയ്ക്കുശേഷം 2016 ഫെബ്രുവരിയിലാണ് മാധവനും വിജയ് സേതുപതിയും പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. വിക്രം വേദയുടെ നിശ്ചലചിത്ര ഛായാഗ്രഹണം 2016 നവംബറിൽ ആരംഭിക്കുകയും 2017 ജനുവരിയിൽ ആദ്യഘട്ട നിർമ്മാണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ചെന്നൈയുടെ ഉത്തരഭാഗത്തുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലാണ് പ്രധാനമായും ചിത്രം ചിത്രീകരിച്ചത്. വടക്കൻ ചെന്നൈ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു കഥയിൽ പരാമർശിക്കുന്ന പ്രദേശവും.

2017 ജൂലൈ 21 - ന് വിക്രം വേദ റിലീസ് ചെയ്യുകയും അനുകൂലമായ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ കരസ്ഥമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട എല്ലാ നിർമ്മാണഘടകങ്ങളേയും നിരൂപകർ പ്രശംസിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. ₹110 മില്യൺ (ഏതാണ്ട് US$1,661,631 (2017-ൽ)) മുടക്കുമുതലിൽ നിർമ്മിക്കപ്പെട്ട വിക്രം വേദാ, ₹600 മില്യൺ കളക്ഷൻ നേടുകയും ചെയ്തു. 2017 - ലെ ചരക്കു സേവന നികുതിയുടെ നടപ്പാക്കലിനെത്തുടർന്നുണ്ടായ പ്രതിസന്ധികളും മറികടന്നുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു ഈ കളക്ഷൻ നേടിയത്. വിക്രം വേദയ്ക്ക് ആ വർഷത്തെ 4 ഫിലിംഫെയർ, വിജയ്, നോർവേ തമിഴ് ചലച്ചിത്രോത്സവ പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും 3 ആനന്ദ വികടൻ ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും 2 ടെക്കോഫെസ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും, 1 എഡിസൺ അവാർഡും ലഭിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.

സെൻട്രൽ ബോർഡ് ഓഫ് ഫിലിം സർട്ടിഫിക്കേഷനിൽ നിന്നും ആദ്യം സെൻസർ ചെയ്തശേഷം "A" സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ആയിരുന്നു ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ചിത്രത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന തീവ്രമായ സംഘട്ടനരംഗങ്ങൾ കാരണമായിരുന്നു ഇത്. എന്നാൽ, തുടർന്ന് ഏതാനും രംഗങ്ങളിൽ മാറ്റം വരുത്തിയ ശേഷം നിർമ്മാതാക്കൾ വീണ്ടും സെൻസർ ബോർഡിനെ സമീപിക്കുകയും അതോടെ കുടുംബപ്രേക്ഷകർക്കുകൂടി സ്വീകാര്യമായ "U/A" സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.[5][6]

2017 ജൂലൈ 7 - ന് ചിത്രം റിലീസ് ചെയ്യാൻ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും പുതിയതായി ചരക്കു സേവന നികുതി ചുമത്തിയതിലും മുൻപ് തമിഴ്നാട് സർക്കാർ ചുമത്തിയിരുന്ന ലോക്കൽ ബോഡി നികുതി ഒഴിവാക്കിയതിലും പ്രതിഷേധിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് തമിഴ്നാട് ഫിലിം പ്രൊഡ്യൂസേഴ്സ് കൗൺസിൽ സമരം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് റിലീസ് മാറ്റിവച്ചു.[7][8] ഇതിനുശേഷം സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാർ, പ്രശ്നം വിശദമായി പഠനവിധേയമാക്കുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടി കമ്മീഷനെ നിയമിക്കാമെന്ന ധാരണയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ നിർമ്മാതാക്കളുടെ കൗൺസിലുമായി ഒത്തുതീർപ്പിലെത്തുകയും ജൂലൈ 6 - ന് തിയേറ്ററുകളിൽ ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ പ്രദർശനം പുനരാരംഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.[9][10] ഇതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് 2017 ജൂലൈ 21- ന് ഹിപ്ഹോപ് തമിഴയുടെ മീസൈയൈ മുറുക്കു എന്ന ചലച്ചിത്രത്തോടൊപ്പമാണ് വിക്രം വേദാ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയത്.[1][11] ട്രിഡന്റ് ആർട്സ് ആയിരുന്നു വിക്രം വേദ, തമിഴ്നാട്ടിൽ വിതരണം ചെയ്തത്. ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഏതാണ്ട് 350 സ്ക്രീനുകളിൽ ഈ ചിത്രം പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.[12][13] അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ വിതരണാവകാശം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത് അറ്റ്മസ് എന്റർടെയിൻമെന്റ് ആയിരുന്നു. മാസങ്ങൾക്കു ശേഷം ഗോൾഡ്മൈൻസ് ടെലിഫിലിംസ്, ചലച്ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഹിന്ദിയിലേക്ക് ഡബ്ബ് ചെയ്ത പതിപ്പ് 2018 ജൂൺ 10 - ന് പുറത്തിറക്കി.[15]

പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും നാമനിർദ്ദേശങ്ങളും[തിരുത്തുക]

65-ാമത് ഫിലിംഫെയർ സൗത്ത് പുരസ്കാരവേളയിൽ മികച്ച ചിത്രം, മികച്ച സഹനടി (വരലക്ഷ്മി) എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെ 7 വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലായാണ് വിക്രം വേദ നാമനിർദ്ദേശം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടത്. ഇതിൽ നാല് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.[16][17] മാധവനും വിജയ് സേതുപതിയും മികച്ച നടനുള്ള പുരസ്കാരത്തിന് നാമനിർദ്ദേശം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നെങ്കിലും വിജയ് സേതുപതി മികച്ച നടനായും മാധവൻ, നിരൂപകരുടെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ മികച്ച നടനായും തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെടുകയുണ്ടായി. മികച്ച സംവിധാനത്തിനും മികച്ച ഗായകനും (അനിരുദ്ധ് രവിചന്ദർ) ഉള്ള പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളായിരുന്നു ഇതു കൂടാതെ ലഭിച്ചത്.[17] 10-ാമത് വിജയ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളിലും നാല് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ വിക്രം വേദയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ചു.[18][19] മികച്ച സംവിധാനം, മിരച്ച തിരക്കഥ, മികച്ച നടൻ (വിജയ് സേതുപതി), മികച്ച പശ്ചാത്തലസംഗീതം (സാം) എന്നീ വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലായിരുന്നു പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചത്.[20] നോർവേ തമിഴ് ചലച്ചിത്രോത്സവത്തിലും നാല് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചു.[21] കൂടാതെ മൂന്ന് വികടൻ ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും[22] രണ്ട് ടെകോഫെസ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങളും ഒരു എഡിസൺ പുരസ്കാരവും വിക്രം വേദയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു.[23] [24]
