പഞ്ചാബിലെ ഓപ്പറേഷൻ ബ്ലൂസ്റ്റാറുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട മുൻസൈനിക ഓഫീസറായിരുന്നു മേജർ ജനറൽ ഷാബേഗ് സിങ്. ബംഗ്ലാദേശിന്റെ വിമോചനവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് മുക്തിബാഹിനി പ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് പരിശീലനം കൊടുത്തവ്യക്തിയുമാണ് ഷാബേഗ് [1]
സൈന്യത്തിൽ[തിരുത്തുക]
1942 ൽ സൈനിക അക്കാദമിയിൽ ചേർന്ന ഷാബേഗ് പരിശീലനത്തിനു ശേഷം ഗഢ്വാൾ റൈഫിൾസിൽ സെക്കൻഡ് ലഫ്റ്റനന്റ് ആയി ചേർന്നു.യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ ബർമ്മയിലേയ്ക്കു നീങ്ങിയ ഷാബേഗ് ജപ്പാനെതിരായ ലോകയുദ്ധത്തിലും പങ്കെടുത്തു. പാരാച്യൂട്ട് റെജിമെന്റിലും ഷാബേഗ് ജോലിചെയ്യുകയുണ്ടായി.ഭിന്ദ്രന്വാലയുമായി അടുപ്പം പുലർത്തിയിരുന്ന ഷാബേഗിനെ സർവ്വീസിൽ നിന്നു നീക്കം ചെയ്യുകയാണൂണ്ടായത്. സുവർണ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ സൈനിക നടപടിയ്ക്കിടെ അദ്ദേഹം കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു.[2]
