ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ആയുർവേദ പരിശീലകനാണ് വൈദ്യ ബലേന്ദു പ്രകാശ്.[1] ഇന്ത്യൻ രാഷ്ട്രപതിയുടെ മുൻ വൈദ്യനും ഡെറാഡൂണിലെ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക ആയുർവേദ ആശുപത്രിയായ പടവിന്റെ സ്ഥാപകനുമാണ്. 1999 ൽ ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന നാലാമത്തെ സിവിലിയൻ അവാർഡായ പദ്മശ്രീ ഇന്ത്യൻ സർക്കാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് നൽകി.[2]
