ബിരുദം നേടിയ ശേഷം, ഒബ്‌സ്റ്റട്രിക്‌സ്, ഗൈനക്കോളജി കോഴ്‌സുകൾ പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയും [4] [5] [6] മുതൽ 1896 വരെ ഫിലാഡൽഫിയയിലെ വുമൺസ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിന്റെ ഫിസിഷ്യൻ ഇൻ-ചാർജ്ജ് ആയിരിക്കുകയും [7] പെൻസിൽവാനിയയിലെ വിമൻസ് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിലെ ഫാക്കൽറ്റി അംഗമായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു [8] ഫിലാഡൽഫിയയിൽ ഏതാനും വർഷം സ്വകാര്യ പ്രാക്ടീസ് നടത്തിയിരുന്ന അവർ, 1899-ൽ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തി, ഇന്ത്യയിലെ സ്ത്രീകൾക്കായുള്ള ആദ്യത്തെ മെഡിക്കൽ സ്കൂളായ ലുധിയാനയിലെ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ലക്ഷ്യം. ഫുള്ളർട്ടണും അവളുടെ സഹോദരി മേരിയും 1911-ൽ ഡെറാഡൂണിലേക്ക് താമസം മാറ്റി. അവൾ അവിടെ വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രവും മിഡ്‌വൈഫറിയും തുടർന്നു. [17]
