സസ്യങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റിയും, ജന്തുക്കളെപ്പറ്റിയും, ഖനിജങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റിയും പലസ്പീഷിസുകളിലുള്ള ജീവജാലങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റിയും ഭംഗിയുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങൾ സഹിതം ശാസ്ത്രീയരീതിയിൽ ആദ്യമായിത്തന്നെ വിവരണം നൽകിയ ഒരു സചിത്ര വിജ്ഞാനകോശമാണ് Tableau encyclopédique et méthodique des trois regnes de la nature. Charles Joseph Panckoucke 1788 -മുതൽ പാരീസിൽ ആണ് ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്. Encyclopédie méthodique എന്ന ബൃഹദ്‌ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗങ്ങളായി ഇതിനെ കരുതാമെങ്കിലും അവയോരോന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തമായിത്തന്നെ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചതായിരുന്നു.
