ഹിബാകുഷ

ഹിരോഷിമയിലും നാഗസാക്കിയിലും ഉണ്ടായ അണുബോംബുവിസ്ഫോടത്തെ അതിജീവിച്ച് യാതന അനുഭവിച്ചുവരുന്ന വ്യക്തികളെയാണ് ഹിബാകുഷ എന്ന ജാപ്പനീസ് വാക്കു കൊണ്ട് അർത്ഥമാക്കുന്നത്. കൂടാതെ ബോംബുകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വികിരണം ഏറ്റ വ്യക്തികളെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കാനും ഈ വാക്ക് ഉപയോഗിച്ചുവരുന്നുണ്ട്.

അറ്റോമിക് ബോംബ് സർവൈവേഴ്സ് റിലീഫ് ലോ താഴെപ്പറയും പ്രകാരം ഹിബാകുഷളെ നിർവ്വചിയ്ക്കുന്നു. ബോംബിന്റെ പതനസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രഭാഗത്തു നിന്നും ഏതാനും കിലോമീറ്ററുകൾ മാത്രംഅകലെയായിരിയ്ക്കുകയോ; പതനകേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടു കിലോമീറ്റർ ചുറ്റളവിൽ സ്ഫോടനത്തെ ത്തുടർന്നു രണ്ട് ആഴ്ച പെട്ടിരിയ്ക്കുകയോ; അണുവികിരണത്തിനു വിധേയരാകുകയോ; ഗർഭാവസ്ഥയിൽ മേൽപ്പറഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലത്തു പെട്ടുപോകുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ ഹിബാകുഷ എന്ന് ആ ആളിനെ വിശേഷിപ്പിയ്ക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.

2014 മാർച്ച് 31 പ്രകാരമുള്ള ജപ്പാൻ സർക്കാരിന്റെ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച് 192,719 വ്യക്തികൾ കെടുതി അനുഭവിയ്ക്കുന്നവരായുണ്ട് .ഇതിൽ 1% പേർ വികിരണം മൂലം ഉള്ള ദുരിതം അനുഭവിയ്ക്കുന്നവരാണെന്നും റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു.
