I think actually it is the otherway around. since the bllue nile carries black sediments from the mountains of Ethiopia near the confluence the 2 rivers have distinct colours, one is white since it is fre of sediments and the other is black (remember black abbay)

can I change it. or do you have any refernce stating it is as what you said?
