മദ്ധ്യ നേപ്പാളിലെ ബാഗ്മതി മേഖലയിൽ കാഫ്രെപലൻചോക്ക് ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയാണ് പഞ്ചകൽ. കാഠ്മണ്ഡു താഴ്വരയുടെ തെക്ക് കിഴക്കായി വികസിപ്പിച്ച പഞ്ചകൽ താഴ്വര, കാവ്രെയിലെ സിൻക്ലിനോറിയത്തിന്റെ കിഴക്കൻ ഭാഗത്തിനകത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. സൂര്യ കോശി നദിയുടെ ഒരു പോഷകനദിയായ ഝികു ഖോല പ്രദേശം അവസാനത്തെ ഹിമയുഗത്തിനു ശേഷം രൂപപ്പെട്ട വ്യത്യസ്ത ഉയരങ്ങളിൽ ജിയോമോർഫിക്കൽ ഉപരിതലം വികസിപ്പിച്ചെടുത്തിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്. 2011-ലെ സെൻസസ് അനുസരിച്ച് പഞ്ചകല്ലിൽ 103 കിലോമീറ്റർ², സാന്ദ്രത 386.6 / km² ആണ്[3]
