പ്ലേയിംഗ് കാർഡിലെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ള ഒരു ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് നഴ്സറി കവിതയാണ് ദ ക്യൂൻ ഓഫ് ഹാർട്ട്സ്. ഒരു അജ്ഞാത രചയിതാവ്, ആദ്യം മൂന്ന് ചെറിയ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന സ്റ്റാൻസകളായി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. ഏപ്രിൽ 1782-ൽ ദി യൂറോപ്യൻ മാഗസിൻ എന്ന ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണത്തിൽ vol. 1, no. 4 -ൽ "ദി കിംഗ് ഓഫ് സ്പേഡ്സ് ", "ദി കിംഗ് ഓഫ് ക്ളബ്സ്", "ദി ഡയമണ്ട് കിംഗ്" എന്നീ മൂന്ന് ശീർഷകങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഈ സ്റ്റാൻസ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു.[1] എന്നിരുന്നാലും, ലോണാ ഒപ്പിയും പീറ്റർ ഒപ്പിയും മറ്റനേകം സ്റ്റാൻസകൾ പഴയ കവിതയിൽ പിന്നീട് ചേർത്തുവെന്ന് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് തെളിവുകളുണ്ടെന്ന് വാദിക്കുന്നു.[2]
