1815 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 16 - ന് ഇറ്റലിയിലെ പൈഡ്മോണ്ടിൽ ജനിച്ചു. 1888 ജനുവരി 31-ന് 72 ആം വയസ്സിൽ അന്തരിച്ചു. 1931 ഏപ്രിൽ 1 - ന് പയസ് പതിനൊന്നാമൻ മാർപാപ്പ റോമിൽ വച്ച് ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ വിശുദ്ധനായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.
