ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ കഡപ്പ ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയും റെവന്യൂഡിവിഷനുമാണ് ജമ്മലമഡുഗു. ഇത് ജമ്മലമഡുഗു റവന്യു ഡിവിഷനിലെ ജമ്മലമഡുഗു താലൂക്കിലാണ്.[4]

ജമ്മലമഡുഗു 14°50′N 78°24′E / 14.83°N 78.4°E.[5] ആണു സ്ഥാനം. ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ശരാശരി ഉയരം 169 metres (554 feet)ആകുന്നു.

2001ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം,[6] ജമ്മലമഡുഗുവിൽ ഏതാണ്ട് 46,000 ആണു ജനസംഖ്യ. പുരുഷന്മാർ 49% ആണ് എന്നാൽ സ്ത്രീകൾ 51% വരും. ജമ്മലമഡുഗുവിലെ സാക്ഷരതാനിരക്ക് 79.5% ആണ്. ഇത് ദേശീയ സാക്ഷരതാനിരക്കായ 59.5%നേക്കാൾ കൂടുതലാണ്: പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ സാക്ഷരതാനിരക്ക് 85% ആണെങ്കിൽ, സ്ത്രീകളൂടേത് 74% മാത്രമേയുള്ളു. 11% ജനങ്ങളും 6 വയസ്സിനു താഴെമാത്രം പ്രയമായവരാണ്.

ജമ്മലമഡുഗു ദേശീയപാത 67ൽ ആണുള്ളത്. ഹൈദരാബാദ്, ബെംഗളൂരു, ചെന്നൈ, വിജയവാഡ കഡപ്പ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലേയ്ക്ക് ഇവിടെനിന്നും പതിവായി ബസ്സുകളുണ്ട്.
ജമ്മലമഡുഗു റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷൻ നന്ദ്യാൽ-യെർറഗുണ്ട്‌ല സെകഷനിൽ ആണുള്ളത്. ഗുണ്ടക്കൽ റെയിൽവേ ഡിവിഷന്റെ പരിധിയിൽപ്പെടുന്നു.[7]
