ഭൂമിയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലുപ്പം കൂടിയ മുള്ളൻ പന്നി വർഗമാണ് ആഫ്രിക്കൻ മുള്ളൻ പന്നി. തെക്കേ ആഫ്രിക്കയിലാണ് ഇവ കണ്ട് വരുന്നത്. ഒരടിയോളം നീളമുണ്ട് ഇവയുടെ മുള്ളുകൾക്ക്. സസ്യഭുക്കുകളായ ഇവ മാളങ്ങൾ തുരന്നാണ് താമസിക്കുന്നത്. മാത്രമല്ല ഇവ നീന്താറുമുണ്ട്.
