ഒരു ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് നോവലിസ്റ്റും ചെറുകഥാകൃത്തുമാണ് അഗതാ ക്രിസ്റ്റി (15 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 1890 – 12 ജനുവരി 1976). 1890-ൽ ബ്രിട്ടനിൽ ജനിച്ചു. 1921 ലാണ് ആദ്യനോവൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയത്.ഹെർകൂൾ പൊയ്റോട്ട് എന്നാ പ്രശസ്ത ബെൽജിയൻ കുറ്റാന്വേഷകനിലൂടെ വായനക്കാരിൽ സ്ഥിരപ്രതിഷ്ഠ നേടിയ അഗത 78 നോവലുകളാണ് രചിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.അഗതയുടെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം മുഴുവൻ വീട്ടിൽ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. ദി മൗസ്ട്രാപ് എന്ന നാടകം 1952 മുതൽ ഒരു ദിവസം പോലും മുടങ്ങാതെ, 60 വർഷത്തിലേറെയായി, ലണ്ടനിൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിച്ചു വരുന്നു. ദ മിസ്റ്റിരിയസ് അഫെയർ അറ്റ് സ്റ്റൽസ് , ദി ഡത്ത് ഓഫ് നൈൽ,ദി ബിഗ് ഫോർ എന്നിവ പ്രധാന രചനകളിൽ പെടുന്നു.1976 -ൽ അന്തരിച്ചു.
