അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിക്കുന്ന 93 മീറ്റർ ഉയരമുള്ള പ്രതിമയാണ് സ്റ്റാച്യൂ ഓഫ് ലിബർട്ടി. ന്യൂ യോർക്ക് നഗരത്തിനടുത്തുള്ള ലിബർട്ടി ദ്വീപിലാണ് ഇത് സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. വലതുകൈയ്യിൽ ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിച്ച ദീപശിഖയും ഇടതുകൈയ്യിൽ ഒതുക്കിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ജൂലൈ 6, 1776 എന്നെഴുതിയ അമേരിക്കൻ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ പ്രഖ്യാപനദിന ഫലകവുമായി നിൽക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീയുടേതാണ് പ്രതിമ. സ്വാതന്ത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമായ റോമൻ ദേവതയുടെ ഈ പ്രതിമ ഫ്രഞ്ചുകാരാണ് സമ്മാനമായി അമേരിക്കക്കാർക്ക് നൽകിയത്. ആദ്യകാലങ്ങളിൽ ലിബർട്ടി എൻലൈറ്റെനിങ്ങ് ദ വേൾഡ് എന്നാണിതറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്.ഇരുമ്പ് ചട്ടക്കൂടിൽ ചെമ്പ് പാളികൾ പൊതിഞ്ഞാണ് ഈ ശില്പം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.ഫ്രഡറിക് ബർത്തോൾഡിയാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ശില്പി.
