ലോക ഇമോജി ദിനം
ജൂലൈ 17 ന് ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന അനൗദ്യോഗിക അവധിദിനമാണ് ലോക ഇമോജി ദിനം. [1]ഈ ദിവസത്തെ "ഇമോജിയുടെ ആഗോള ആഘോഷം" ആയി കണക്കാക്കുന്നു.[2] 2014 മുതൽ വർഷം തോറും ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന ഇമോജി ദിനം[3] 2015 ജൂലൈ 17 ന് ട്വിറ്ററിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ട്രെൻഡുചെയ്യുന്ന ഇനമായിരുന്ന ദിവസം എന്ന് എൻ.ബി.സി റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു.[4]

ലോക ഇമോജി ദിനം “ജെർമി ബർഗിന്റെ [5] ആശയവും കണ്ടുപിടത്തവുമാണ്.അമേരിക്കൻ പേ ടെലിവിഷൻ ബിസിനസ് വാർത്താ ചാനലായ സി.എൻ.ബി.സി (Consumer News and Business Channel)പറയുന്നതനുസരിച്ച് “ലണ്ടൻ ആസ്ഥാനമായുള്ള ഇമോജിപീഡിയ സ്ഥാപകൻ 2014 ൽ ഇത് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു”.[6]
"ഐഫോണുകളിൽ കലണ്ടർ ഇമോജി കാണിക്കുന്ന രീതിയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി" ജൂലൈ 17 നാണ് ജെറമി ബർഗ് ഇത് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതെന്ന് ന്യൂയോർക്ക് ടൈംസ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു.[7]ആദ്യത്തെ ലോക ഇമോജി ദിനത്തിനായി ജെറമി ബർഗ് സ്വതന്ത്രരോട് പറഞ്ഞു, “തീയതി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുകയല്ലാതെ ഔപചാരിക പദ്ധതികളൊന്നും നടപ്പാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല”.[8] "ഇമോജികളുമായി മാത്രം ആശയവിനിമയം നടത്താൻ" വായനക്കാർ ഈ ദിവസം ഉപയോഗിക്കണമെന്ന് വാഷിംഗ്ടൺ പോസ്റ്റ് 2018 ൽ നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു.[9]
ആൻഡ്രോയിഡ്, ജിമെയിൽ, ഹാംഗ് ഔട്ടുകൾ, ക്രോം ഒ.എസ് ഉൽ‌പ്പന്നങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയിൽ ജൂലൈ 17 പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് 2016[10] ൽ ഗൂഗിൾ യൂണിക്കോഡ് പ്രതീകമായ യു + 1 എഫ് 4 സി 5 ന്റെ രൂപം മാറ്റി.[11]
