സോറാപോഡ് എന്ന കുടുംബത്തിൽ പെട്ട ദിനോസർ ആണ് മാരിസോറസ്. അന്ത്യ ക്രിറ്റേഷ്യസ് കാലത്ത് ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നവയാണ് ഇവ. ഫോസ്സിൽ കണ്ടു കിട്ടിയിടുള്ളത് പാകിസ്താനിൽ നിന്നും ആണ് .^[1]

പൂർണ്ണമല്ലാത്ത ഫോസ്സിൽ മാത്രമേ കിട്ടിയിടുള്ളൂ . അടിസ്ഥാനപരമായി വാലിലെ കശേരുകദണ്ഡ് മാത്രം അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി ആണ് ഇവയുടെ വർഗീകരണം.
