പ്രകാസം ജില്ല Prakasam district ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ തീരാന്ധ്രാ പ്രദേശത്തെ ഒരു ജില്ലയാണ്. ഓംഗോലാ ആണിതിന്റെ തലസ്ഥാനം. ഇത് ബംഗാൾ ഉൾക്കടലിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ തീരത്തു സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇതിന്റെ വടക്കുഭാഗത്ത് ഗുണ്ടൂർ ജില്ലയും പടിഞ്ഞാറ് കുർണ്ണൂൽ ജില്ലയും തെക്ക് കഡപ്പ ജില്ലയും നെല്ലൂർ ജില്ലയും സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. തെലംഗാണ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ജില്ലയായ മഹബൂബ്‌നഗർ ജില്ലയെയും ഈ ജിൽക്ല അതിരിടുന്നുണ്ട്.[2] 17,626 km2 (6,805 sq mi) വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഈ ജില്ല ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ വലിയ ജില്ലയാണ്. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പതിനചാം കാനേഷുമാരി പ്രകാരം 3,392,764 ആണ് ജനസംഖ്യ.[3]
