കൊറോണ വൈറസ് സ്പൈക്ക് പ്രോട്ടീന്റെ ഏറ്റവും ചുരുങ്ങിയ ഭാഗം എൻ‌കോഡു ചെയ്യുകയും അതിനെതിരെ രോഗപ്രതിരോധ ശേഷി സജീവമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു എം‌ആർ‌എൻ‌എ വാക്സിനാണ് CVnCoV.^[4]^[5] CVnCoV സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ മനുഷ്യ ജീനോമുമായി പരസ്‌പരം പ്രവർത്തനം നടത്തുന്നില്ല.^[4]

CVnCoV ൽ ജനിതക മാറ്റം വരുത്താത്ത ആർ‌.എൻ‌.എ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.^[6] ഇതിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യത്യസ്തമായി ഫൈസർ-ബയോ‌ടെക് കോവിഡ് -19 വാക്സിൻ, മോഡേണ കോവിഡ് -19 വാക്സിൻ എന്നിവയിൽ രണ്ടിലും ന്യൂക്ലിയോസൈഡ് മോഡിഫൈഡ് ആർ‌എൻ‌എ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.^[7]
