ഭാരത് ഛെത്രി (1982 ൽ പശ്ചിമ ബംഗാളിലെ കാലിമ്പോങിൽ ജനനം)[1] ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹോക്കി കളിക്കാരനാണ്. കാലിമ്പോങിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഗൂർഖ സമുദായത്തിൽ പെട്ടയാളാണ് അദ്ദേഹം.ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹോക്കി ടീമിന്റെ ഗോൾ കീപ്പറാണ് ഛെത്രി.
ജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]
1998- ൽ ബാംഗ്ലൂരിൽ സ്പോർട്സ് അതോറിറ്റി ഓഫ് ഇൻഡ്യയുടെ സെന്റർ ഓഫ് എക്സലൻസ്സിൽ ചേർന്ന സൽമിയുടെ ഹോളിവുഡ് പ്രൊഫഷണൽ ജീവിതം ആരംഭിച്ചു.[2] ബംഗ്ലാദേശിലെ ധാക്കയിലെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഗോൾഡ് കപ്പ് ടൂർണമെന്റിൽ 2001- ൽ അദ്ദേഹം അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ഹോക്കിയിൽ അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചു. [3] മലേഷ്യയിലെ 2012 സുൽത്താൻ അസ്ലാൻ ഷാ കപ്പിൽ 18 അംഗ ഇന്ത്യൻ ടീമിന്റെ ക്യാപ്റ്റനായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. ഇതിൽ വെങ്കല മെഡൽ നേടിയിരുന്നു. [4]ലണ്ടനിലെ 2012 ഒളിമ്പിക് ഗെയിംസിൽ 16 അംഗ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഹോക്കി ടീമിനെ നയിച്ചത് ഛെത്രി ആയിരുന്നു[5]
ഒളിമ്പിക്സിൽ മോശം പ്രകടനത്തിന് ശേഷം ഛെത്രി, സന്ദീപ് സിംഗ്, ശിവേന്ദ്ര സിംഗ് എന്നിവരെ ഒഴിവാക്കി.[6]
ഹോക്കി ഇന്ത്യ ലീഗ്[തിരുത്തുക]
ഹോക്കി ഇന്ത്യ ലീഗിന്റെ ആദ്യ എഡിഷന്റെ ലേലത്തിൽ, 19,000 ഡോളറിന് [7]പഞ്ചാബ് വാരിയേഴ്സ് ഛെത്രിയെ വാങ്ങി. അടിസ്ഥാന തുക 18,500 ഡോളറായിരുന്നു. ആദ്യ റൗണ്ടിൽ വിൽക്കാതിരുന്നെങ്കിലും[8] രണ്ടാം റൗണ്ടിലെ ലേലത്തിൽ വാങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
