ഓസ്ട്രിയൻ ദാർശനിക എഴുത്തുകാരൻ ആയിരുന്നു റോബർട്ട് മസിൽ (German: [muːzɪl] or [muːsɪl], 6 നവംബർ 1880 - ഏപ്രിൽ 15, 1942). അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പൂർത്തീകരിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത നോവൽ ദി മാൻ വിത്തൗട്ട് ക്വിളിറ്റീസ് (German: Der Mann ohne Eigenschaften) ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ടതും സ്വാധീനമുള്ളതുമായ ആധുനിക നോവലുകളിൽ ഒന്നായി പൊതുവേ കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
കുടുംബം[തിരുത്തുക]
എൻജിനിയർ അൽഫ്രെഡ് എഡ്ലർ വോൺ [1] (1824, തിമിസോറ 1924), അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യ ഹെർമെയ്ൻ ബെർഗൗർ (1853, ലിൻസ് - 1924) എന്നിവരുടെ മകനായി കരിന്തിയയിലെ ക്ലഗൻഫർട്ടിലാണ് മുസിൽ ജനിച്ചത്. ഓറിയന്റലിസ്റ്റ് അലോയിസ് മസിൽ ("ചെക്ക് ലോറൻസ് ") അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ കസിൻ ആയിരുന്നു. [2]
റോബർട്ടിന്റെ ജനനത്തിനുശേഷം കുടുംബം ബൊഹീമിയയിലെ ചോമറ്റോവിലേക്ക് താമസം മാറി. 1891-ൽ മുസലിന്റെ പിതാവിനെ ബ്രുനോയിലെ ജർമ്മൻ ടെക്നിക്കൽ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ മെക്കാനിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് ചെയർ ആയി നിയമിച്ചു, പിന്നീട് ആസ്ട്രോ-ഹംഗേറിയൻ സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിലെ പാരമ്പര്യ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായി വളർന്നു. ജഞാനസ്നാനസമയത്ത് റോബർട്ട് മത്തിയാസ് മസിൽ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നെങ്കിലും1917 ഒക്ടോബർ 22 മുതൽ 1919 ഏപ്രിൽ 3 വരെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പിതാവ് എഡ്ലർ ആയിരുന്നതുവരെ റോബർട്ട് മാത്തിയസ് എഡ്ലർ വോൺ മസിൽ എന്ന പേരിൽ ഔദ്യോഗികമായി അറിയപ്പെടാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഓസ്ട്രിയയിൽ മാന്യമായ സ്ഥാനപ്പേരുകൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു.
